Railway Announces Fresh Group C Vacancy, Check Recruitment Details

Alike the other divisions of the Indian Railways, the South Western Railway has released a recruitment notification for government job aspirants. As per the new notification, applications have been sought by the  SWR under Group C Sports Quota.

Those interested and fulfill the required eligibility criteria mentioned below can apply for the positions till October 28, 2019.

Sports Persons - 21 Posts

Applications are invited in the prescribed form from eligible candidates for filling up 21 (Unreserved) posts against Sports Quota to be recruited in Level 2/3 of VII CPC Pay Matrix for the year 2019-20, read the notification.

Name of Sports Discipline: Athletics, , Badminton, Bodybuilding, Cricket, Weightlifting, Table Tennis, Hockey

Minimum Prescribed Educational Qualification: (I) Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its achievement. Educational Qualification equivalent examination along with desired sports must be from Recognized Institutions. OR (II) Matriculation Plus Course Completed (Diploma in Engineering is not considered Apprenticeship/ITI is the only qualification in Engineering is accepted as an higher qualification in the same line candidates will be as per extant rules.

Age Limit: The minimum age to apply is 18 years while the upper age limit for the same is 25 years.

General Instructions

The name and initial of the candidate and father's name appearing in school/college certificates and in sports certificates should be one and the same. The specific position [400 mts/5000 mts./800 mts. Triple Jump/Long Jump/Badminton (Single/Double)/85 Kg.lOpening Batsman/All Rounder, who should compulsorily be a Medium pacer/Middle Order Batsman, who should compulsorily be a Fast Bowler/Medium Pacer/Left Arm Spinner/81 Kg./+109 Kg./Table Tennis (Single/Double)/Half Back/Forward played in the particular game/event if applicable should be mentioned in the application form without fail.

The candidates serving in any Government/Public Sector undertaking including Railways should apply through proper channel or should apply directly with 'NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE' from the employer to avoid delay.

Advance copy of the application from such candidates without 'No Objection Certificate' from the employer will not be entertained. Please note that no application received after the prescribed date will be entertained. The applicant is liable to be appointed against any suitable post in Level 2/3 Of VII CPC Pay Matrix as the case may be, anywhere on South Western Railway.

Candidates will have to undergo prescribed training course as applicable for the post as per existing instructions. Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidature, the official notification further read.
