JNU Recruitment 2019: Applications open to fill up vacant Associate Professor posts

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has invited applications for the positions of Associate Professor in several areas of specialization. Applicants must have good academic record, teaching/research experience and working in related areas of research. As per the notification issued by the university, last date for submission of application is on August 19, 2019. The recruitment will be done to fill up 157 vacant positions of Associate Professor.

Interested candidates must apply online on the University’s official website www.jnu.ac.in/career/. Applicants are needed to upload photograph, scanned copies of all certificates, marksheets, evidence of teaching, research, NOC from the employer, M.A, M.Phil, Ph.D, NET certificates, copies of reprints of published articles, certificate containing the record of date of birth and caste certificate.

Selected candidates will get a pay scale of Rs 1,31,400-Rs 2,17,100, said the notification. The selection will be done on basis of interview.

Educational Qualification:

(i) Candidates should possess a good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the relevant disciplines.
(ii) A Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).

Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, college or accredited research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria.

Application Fee: Candidates belonging to General, Other Backward Class (OBC) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates are required to pay Rs 1,000 application fee. However, SC/ST/PwD and women candidates are exempted from paying application fee.
