Indian Railways Hiring Engineering & Diploma Students For Trainee Apprentice Positions

Indian Railways' Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) has invited interested and eligible candidates having qualification of Graduation in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Signal and Telecommunications) or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering for enrolment as Trainee Apprentices under National Apprentice Training Scheme, a scheme under Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Candidates belonging to the districts under KRCL jurisdiction in states of Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka will be given preference, read the railway notification.

Education Qualification

The candidates applying for engineering posts should have bachelor’s degree in relevant field from any from recognized University/Institute approved by AICTE.

Similarly, candidates applying for diploma posts should have full time regular Diploma in respective stream from university/Institute recognized by AICTE.

NOTE: Those awaiting results of the final examination of the prescribed educational qualification SHOULD NOT apply.

Age Limit

The minimum age of candidate shall be 21 years and maximum age shall be 25 years as on 31/07/2019. There will be upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected for training based on the percentage of marks obtained at the time of acquiring of BE or Diploma in relevant field.

Duration And Place Of Training

Duration of Training shall be one year tentatively commencing from 1st week of November, 2019. Candidates shall be deployed at any work location, station of KRCL in the State applied for.
