Indian Air Force Recruitment 2021: Huge Vacancies In 'Group C' Posts For Matric, 12th And Graduate Students

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has invited applications for direct recruitment of 'Group C' civilian posts in the South Western Air Command. Eligible candidates can apply against the vacancies on or before March 13, 2021.

The AIF has invited applications for a total of 255 vacancies for various posts in the South Western Air Command. Those posts include Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), House Keeping Staff (HKS), Mess Staff, LDC, Clerk Hindi Typist, Stenographer Grade-II, Store (Superintendent), Store Keeper, Laundryman, Ayah/Ward Sahayika (only for female candidates), Carpenter, Painter, Vulcaniser, Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade), Cook (Ordinary Grade), and Fireman.

Educational Eligibility & Age Limit

Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)/ Housekeeping Staff (HKS)/Mess Staff: Matriculation pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Board. The candidate must be between 18 to 25 years of age.

LDC: 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognised Board or University. A typing speed of 30 words per minute in English on manual typewriter or a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English on computer. The candidate must be between 18 to 25 years of age.

Clerk Hindi Typist: 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognised Board or University. A typing speed of 25 words per minute in Hindi on manual typewriter OR a typing speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer. The candidate must be between 18 to 25 years of age.

Stenographer Grade-II: 12th class pass or equivalent from recognized Board or University.

Store (Superintendent): Graduate of a recognised University or equivalent.

Store Keeper Essential: 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognised Board or University.

Laundryman: Matriculation pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Board.

Ayah / Ward Sahayika (only for female candidates): Matriculation pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Board.

Carpenter: Matriculation pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Board. The candidate must possess an Industrial Training Institute Certificate in appropriate akin field or Trade viz– Carpenter or Ex-Servicemen from appropriate trade vize. Carpenter Rigger. The candidate must be between 18 to 25 years of age.

Painter: Matriculation pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Board. An Industrial Training Institute Certificate in appropriate akin field or Trade viz– Painter or Ex-Servicemen from appropriate trade vize. Painter. The candidate must be between 18 to 25 years of age.

Vulcaniser: Matriculation pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Board or Ex-servicemen of appropriate trade. The candidate must be between 18 to 25 years of age.

Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade) {CMTD (OG)}: Matriculation pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Board. Must be holding a valid civil driving license for light and heavy vehicle. Must possess professional skill in driving and knowledge of motor mechanism. The candidate must be between 18 to 25 years of age.

Cook (Ordinary Grade): Matriculation from recognized Board with a certificate or diploma in catering. The candidate must be between 18 to 25 years of age.

Fireman Essential : Matriculation or equivalent qualification from a recognized board / university. Must have undergone training in Fire Fighting under a state fire service or a recognized institution of repute. The candidate must be between 18 to 25 years of age.

Indian Air Force Recruitment 2021 Selection Process

All applications are scrutinised in terms of age limit, minimum qualification, documents and certificates. Thereafter eligible candidates will be issued call letter for written test. The eligible candidates will be required to appear for written test. The written test will be based on minimum educational qualification.

The written test will consist of (i) General Intelligence & Reasoning (ii) Numerical Aptitude (iii) General English (iv) General Awareness. The question cum answer paper will be in English and Hindi.

The requisite number of candidates will be short-listed and called for skill /practical/physical test wherever applicable based on merit/category in the written test. Short-listed candidates are to bring original certificates, copies of which were annexed with the application.
