India Post recently released a few recruitment notifications giving an opportunity to government job aspirants to become a part of the premier organisation. Here, we have come up with the vacancies, application submissions of which are going to end this month.

The Department of Posts released a recruitment advertisement on January 4 inviting applications for the positions of Skilled Artisans. Interested candidates will have to apply for the positions, Skilled Artisans positions for Motor Vehicle Mechanic, Welder, Tinsmith, Blacksmith and Tyreman, by February 29, 2020.

Educational Qualifications: A Certificate in the respective trade from any Technical Institution recognized by the government or VIII Standard with an experience of one year in the respective trade.

A candidate applying for the post of Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) should possess a valid Driving Licence (DL) to drive heavy vehicles.

Age Limit (as on 01.07.2020): Minimum 18 years while the upper age limit is 30 years.

Official Notification

The Karnataka Postal Circle (Karnataka Postal Circle) also invited applications for the positions Junior Accountant, Sorting Assistant, Postman and Postal Assistant positions. Applications can be submitted for the positions by February 26, 2020.

The official advertisement was for direct recruitment of meritorious sportspersons from open market under 'Sports Quota' for filling the vacancies of the following posts in Karnataka Postal Circle, read official notification.

Probation & Training: Candidates selected will be appointed and will be on probation as per rules. The training will be imparted to the candidates selected as prescribed.

Similarly, Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster and Dak Sevak in Assam Postal Circle were also announced recently. Application submission for the posts will end on February 9, 2020.

Age Limit (as on 05.08.2019): The minimum age to apply for the India Post positions is 18 years while the upper age limit is 40 years.

Age relaxation in upper age limit is there by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category. Similarly, for persons with disabilities (PwD) 10 years, persons with disabilities (PwD) + OBC 13 years, persons with disabilities (PwD) + SC/ST 15 years.

Educational Qualification: Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories in India.
