India Post office has released a recruitment notification for the positions of Staff Car Driver. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the positions before the deadline.

No of Posts: 06

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Possession of a valid driving license for light & heavy motor vehicles

(ii) Knowledge of Motor Mechanism (The candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle)

(iii) Experience of driving in light and heavy motor vehicles for at least three years

(iv) Passing in 10th standard from recognized board or institute

Desirable qualification

Three years of service as Home Guard or Civil volunteers.

Age Limit

Minimum: 18 years

Maximum: 27 year

Age relaxation is there by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.

Selection Process

Selection will be made amongst the candidates possessing the required qualifications and license and on the basis of competitive examination comprising following:

1. Simple Arithmetics
2. Removal of minor defects in the vehicle
3. Driving test to assess the competency of candidates to drive the vehicles.

NOTE: The date and venue of the tests will be intimated separately to the eligible candidates. No intimation will be sent in respect of other applicants who are not eligible, read the recruitment notification of India Post Office.
