Pay Scales & Experience

Scientist 'C': Pay Level-11 (₹ 67700-208700) as per 7th Pay Commission. Minimum 03 years' experience in relevant field

Scientist 'D': Pay Level-12 (₹ 78800-209200) as per 7th CPC. Minimum 07 years of experience in relevant field.

Scientist 'E': Pay Level-13 (₹ 123100-215900) as per 7th CPC. Minimum 11 years of experience in relevant field.

Educational Qualification

Forecasting: Master’s Degree in Physics or Mathematics or Chemistry or Meteorology or Atmospheric Science/ Atmospheric Physics or Oceanography or Geophysics (with Meteorology)/ Remote Sensing or equivalent subject with at least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level.

Instrumentation: Master’s Degree from a recognized university in Electronics or Instrumentation or equivalent subject with at least 60% marks(First Class) at the qualifying degree level. (OR) Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Electrical/ Telecommunication/ Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent subject with at least 60% marks (first class) at the qualifying degree level.

Computer/ Information Technology (IT): Master’s Degree from a recognized university in Computer Science or Computer Applications/ Information Technology or equivalent subject with at least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level.or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University in Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent subject with at least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level.

Agriculture Meteorology: Master’s Degree in Agricultural Meteorology/ Agricultural Physics or equivalent subject with at least 60% marks.

The candidates can apply for more than one post.

Application as per the Performa should be submitted within 42 days from the date of publication of Advertisement in Employment News.

Copies of certificates (self-attested) in support of educational qualification (10th Class Onwards), date of birth and experience, if any, should be uploaded with the application.

SC/ST/OBC certificate, if applicable, as per the prescribed format, should be uploaded with the application.

Applicants are also required to bring original certificates/documents for verification at the time of interview.

No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates who are not selected for appointment.

Last date of application

The last date for receipt of online application is 42 days (i.e. 12/03/2021). It is 60 days for those in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh UT, Lahaul and Spiti District, Pangi Sub Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep) from the date of publication of this advertisement dated 30th January 2021.
