The Indira Gandhi National Open University has released a recruitment notification inviting applications for the positions of Librarian. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the positions on or before January 31.

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for appointment to the post of Librarian in the academic level of 7th Central Pay Commission Rs 1,44,200-Rs 2,18,200, in the Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, reads the official notification.

Eligibility for IGNOU Recruitment 2021: Master's Degree in Library Science /Information Science Documentation Science with at least 55% marks.

IGNOU has also invited applications for the post of Field Investigators in ICSSR-IMPRESS funded project titled 'Impact of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on Rural Health and Hygiene Practices: A study of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar’.

The study aims to assess the impact of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on rural health and hygiene practices like hand washing, open defecation, sanitation etc and document the behaviour change and how it has affected the quality of life of people and impact on gender inclusion and overall equity.

Under the project, data collection will be carried out in U.P and Bihar. The Field Investigators will be required to undertake extensive fieldwork in the area of assignment.

Essential Qualifications: Indian nationals with good academic record and a master’s degree in any social science discipline or any allied subject with minimum 55% marks are eligible to apply.

Remuneration: Consolidated monthly emolument of Rs 15,000.

Duration: 3 months (extendable up to 3 months)
