The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the official notification for Agniveer Intake 01/2027 under the Agnipath Scheme, inviting online applications from unmarried Indian male and female candidates for Agniveervayu posts. The recruitment covers both technical and non-technical trades.

Eligible and interested candidates will be required to appear for the selection test scheduled on March 30, 2026 and March 31, 2026.

The online registration process will close at 11:00 pm on February 1, 2026. Applications must be submitted through the official website, iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Agniveervayu posts must have passed Intermediate or Class 10+2, or hold a Diploma or Vocational Course qualification with a minimum of 50 per cent marks.

Age Limit

Applicants must have been born between January 1, 2006 and July 1, 2009. The maximum permissible age at the time of enrolment is 21 years.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable examination fee of Rs 550 plus 18 per cent GST, taking the total amount to Rs 649. The fee must be paid online through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.

Selection Process

Phase I will consist of an online objective-type test, conducted bilingually in English and Hindi, except for the English paper. For science subjects, the test duration will be 60 minutes and will include Physics, Mathematics and English as per the Class 10+2 CBSE syllabus. 

For non-science subjects, the test will be 45 minutes, covering English and Reasoning and General Awareness. Candidates appearing for both streams will have an 85-minute test. The marking scheme awards one mark for each correct answer, with a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect response.

Phase II will include document verification, Physical Fitness Tests, and Adaptability Tests for state-wise shortlisted candidates. Phase III will comprise a detailed medical examination conducted by the Air Force Medical Team.

Important Dates

Admit cards for Phase I will be issued 48 to 72 hours before the examination. 

The provisional select list will be displayed on November 14, 2026, followed by the enrolment list on December 1, 2026. 

The provisional select list will remain valid for six months for Intake 01/2027.
