Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), the country’s premier defence research and development organisation, has invited applications from graduate engineers and post graduates in Science including students who have appeared in their final year examination for filling up the posts of Scientists. The interested candidates are required to apply online for the posts through https://rac.gov.in .
The selected candidates will get the Pay Matrix of Rs 56,100 in specified disciplines and categories as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. Total emoluments (inclusive of HRA and all other allowances) at the time of joining will be approximately Rs 80,000 per month at the present metro city rate.
Posts and Vacancies: Scientist, 290
The recruitment for the posts will be done on basis of valid GATE score, a Descriptive Examination followed by Personal Interview.
Educational Qualification:
Electronics & Communication Engineering: At least First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics & Communication Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent.
Mechanical Engineering: At least First Class (condition of First Class does not apply to DST posts) Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical Engg from a recognised university or equivalent. Candidates are also required to have a) Valid GATE score in Mechanical Engineering or b) 80% aggregate marks in degree, if done from an IIT or NIT.
Computer Science and Engineering: At least First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science & Engg from a recognised university or equivalent
Chemical Engineering: At least First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Chemical Engg from a recognised university or equivalent.
Chemistry: At least First Class (condition of First class does not apply to DST posts) Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognised university or equivalent.

Age limit: Candidates should have a minimum age of 28 years and maximum age of 40 years.
Application fee: Male candidates are required to pay a non‐refundable application fee of Rs 100 online only. There is no application fee for SC/ST/PwD and women candidates.
