Bhubaneswar: The steep rise in Covid-19 cases has now prompted the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) to postpone several recruitment examinations.

“It is for information of all concerned that in view of the increasing trend in COVID-19 pandemic and with a view to contain its spread, the schedule of examinations published vide Notice No.928/OSSC dated 30.03.2021 and Notice No. 707/OSSC dated 04.03.2021 are hereby postponed until further orders,” an official notification issued on Monday read.

As per the notification, the Computer Skill Test for the post of Librarian and Assistant Librarian-20I7 notified to be held on April 20 also stands postponed until further orders.

Apart from this, the main written examination for the post Food Safety Officer-2019 has also been postponed. Already the admission letter has already been sent to the candidates. The candidates are required to retain the admission letters with them for future use and reference.

“Candidates are advised to keep in constant touch with the Commission’s website www.ossc.gov.in to know further updates and to know the further date of examination,” the notification added.
