In view of Bharat Bandh called by trade unions, the ICAR-National Eligibility Test (NET) 2019 exam scheduled to be held on January 8 has been postpone.

The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) has reportedly informed about the revision in exam date adding that the exam will now be held on January 11, 2020.

Earlier, the ICAR NET exam was scheduled to be conducted from January 6 to 10, 2020. Meanwhile, dates of the rest of the sittings of the exam will remain unchanged.

The ICAR NET exam is conducted online in English and Hindi language comprising 150 objective-type questions which carry one mark each.

Candidates will get two hours to solve the questions. Meanwhile, 50 per cent mark or 75 marks is needed to qualify the exam. However, the qualifying mark is 45 per cent for OBC candidate and 40 per cent for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

On cracking the ICAR NET exam, candidates will become eligible to be posted as lecturer, assistant professor in the state agricultural universities.
