Applications were earlier invited for Direct Recruitment for the post of Block Educational Officer (BEO) in Elementary Education department for the year 2018-2019. The last date to submit application for the BEO posts is tomorrow, January 9, 2020.
On selection, candidates will get a pay scale of Rs 36900-Rs 116600 (Level-18) as per Tamil Nadu Elementary Educational Sub-Ordinate Service Rules.
Educational Qualification: The candidate should possess minimum general qualification as stated in G.O.Ms.No.182, School Education (G1), Dated 25.07.2007.
Educational Qualification: Graduate Degree- B.A./B.Sc. with Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biology, History and Geography as Major subjects obtained from a recognized University.
Besides, Candidate need to possess Professional qualification i.e., B.Ed degree obtained from a recognised University. It is pertinent to mention here that all the qualifying certificate/equivalent certificates results should have been declared prior to the date of issue of notification.
If a candidate claims that the educational qualification in the subject possessed by the candidate is equivalent to, though not the same, as those prescribed for the appointment, the candidate has to produce the subject equivalence government order issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu at the time of Certificate Verification, read the official notification.
The Government Order for equivalence must have been issued before the last date of submission for online application.
BEO Vacancy 2020 Exam Details
The Online Computer Based Examination for the BEO vacancy will comprise a single paper of 3-hour duration with 150 'Multiple Choice Questions' with each carrying one mark.
The marks allotted to the Main Subject, General Knowledge and Education Methodology as per G.O.Ms.No.33, School Education (EE 1(1) Department, Dated.19.02.2019.
Total: 150 Marks
General Paper consists of subjects (Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biology, History, and Geography): 110 Marks
General Knowledge: 10 Marks, Education Methodology: 30 Marks
