The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) has announced a big opportunity for interested and eligible candidates. The multi-disciplinary research centre has announced vacancies for the positions of Assistant Security Officer and Security Guard under the 7th Central Pay Commission pay scale.

"ONLINE applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following posts proposed to be filled in BARC, Trombay, Mumbai, Maharashtra and its facility at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh," read the official notification.

Though the application submission for the same started much earlier, the last date to apply for the positions is December 6, 2019.

Assistant Security Officer: 19 Posts

(SC-08, ST-02, OBC-03, UR-05, EWS-01)

Initial Pay as per 7th CPC: Rs 35400 (Cell No.1-Level 6 of Pay Matrix) + allowances as admissible under Central Government Rules.

Security Guard: 73 Posts

(SC-15, ST-06, OBC-20, UR-26, EWS-06)

Initial Pay as per 7th CPC: Rs 18000 (Cell No.1-Level 1 of Pay Matrix) + allowances as admissible under Central Government Rules.

Educational Qualification

Assistant Security Officer: Graduate from a recognized University. For Ex-Servicemen, Ex-Police and Ex-Central Para-Military Personnel, it is Graduate.

Experience: Not below Junior Commissioned Officer or equivalent or having five years of experience as a Non-Commissioned Officer or equivalent.

Security Guard: Candidates applying need to have Xth Standard pass. For Ex-Servicemen, Ex-Police and Ex-Central Para Military Personnel Xth Standard pass or equivalent Central Para Military Personnel Xth Standard pass or equivalent certificate from Armed Forces.

Age Limit for BARC Vacancy

Minimum 18 years and Maximum 27 years

Category-wise: (UR- 27 years, OBC- 30 years and SC/ST- 32 years) as on the last date of receipt of application.

Meanwhile, candidates should know that they will be shortlisted for Physical Test / Written Test on the basis of the information provided by them in their online application.

Hence, they must ensure that such information is true. If at any stage of the selection procedure, it is found that the information given by them or any claim made by them in their online application is false, their candidature will be liable to be rejected and also liable for any other appropriate action as deemed fit, the notification stated.
