Army School Recruitment 2020: The Army Public Schools (APS) have invited online application from eligible and interested candidates for the recruitment of PGT (Post Graduate Teachers), TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher), and PRT (Primary Teacher).

The candidates can apply for the post through the official website of Army Public Schools- http://aps-csb.in. Candidates can apply for the recruitment on or before October 20, 2020.

“The exact number of vacancies available in the respective school will be announced by the School/Management while advertising for holding interviews/evaluation of teaching skills. In the last two years the numbers of total vacancies in different categories were 2315 & 2169 respectively,” reads the official notification of Army Public Schools.

Army School Recruitment 2020 Details

Posts: PGT (Post Graduate Teachers), TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher), and PRT (Primary Teacher).

Educational Qualification

PGT: The candidate must have passed Post Graduation in the subject concerned with 50 % marks and B.Ed profession degree with 50 % marks.

TGT: The candidate must have passed Graduation in the subject concerned with 50 % marks and B.Ed profession degree with 50 % marks.

PRT: The candidate must have passed Graduation in the subject concerned with 50 % marks and B.Ed professional degree or two-year diploma.

Age Limit

Fresh Candidates: Below 40 years as on April 1, 2020.

Experienced Candidates: Below 57 years as on April 1, 2020. Candidates should have minimum of five years teaching experience in the last 10 years

Selection Procedure

An online screening test will be conducted on November 21 and 22, 2020. Candidates who will qualify the screening test will be eligible to appear for interviews, evaluation of teaching skills and computer proficiency.

Application Procedure

  1. Candidates must register online for the screening exam by logging onto www.aps-csb.in.
  2. Log onto the website — www.aps-csb.in and fill up the personal information on the application form.
  3. Pay the exam fee online. Payment options are Debit/ Credit Cards/ Net banking/Bank Challan.
  4. After payment of fee, candidates should attach photographs and signatures, proof of date of birth, and certificates of academic qualifications.
  5. After completion of the registration, candidates will get a confirmation through e-mail and SMS regarding the same.

Important Dates To Remember:

Starting date of registration: October 1, 2020

Last date of registration: October 20, 2020

Availability of admit card for download: November 4, 2020 (Tentative will be informed after uploading)

Examination date: November 21 & 22, 2020

Announcement of Result: Dec 2, 2020 (Tentative)

There are 137 Army Public Schools (APS) located in various Cantonments and Military Stations across India. These schools are administered and managed by local Army authorities and affiliated to CBSE through Army Welfare Education Society (AWES).
