Angelina Jolie has been grabbing the headline yet again. However, it is not because of herself but her ‘zombie’ lookalike, Sahar Tabar. The Iranian social media sensation, Sahar has been jailed for 10 years on the grounds of corruption of young people and disrespect for the Islamic Republic stand.
19-year-old Sahar Tabra, originally named Fatemeh Khishvand shot to fame with her transformation into a ‘zombie’ version of Angelina Jolie. Rumors went around that Sahar had undergone plastic surgery to look like Angelina, but she had clarified that she does it with makeup and editing. She has been jailed for 10 years for posting these distorted images, which the local reports of Iran tag as an “act of seeking vulgarity”.
As per the reports, Tabar has been charged with corruption of young people and disrespect for the Islamic Republic. Earlier, she was also alleged for blasphemy, inciting violence, gaining income through inappropriate means, and encouraging youths to corruption. Recently, her lawyer stated that the other charges are dropped and only the former two stand against her.

Last year, the teenager was made to confess to the charges publicly on the broadcast. Now her lawyer is reportedly trying to get help bodies across the world to stop the authorities from sending the young woman to jail over social media posts. She has even appealed to Angelina Jolie through her social media to help release Sahar, which is going viral. Many are terming this as a ‘violation of human rights’ and ‘exercising control over women by government’.

The teenager who had a massive following on Instagram with close to 500,000 followers, had to deactivate her account following the court's ruling.
