However, within a day, the numbers plummeted to 101K.

A Recap Of The Controversy

Hitesha hit headlines after she shared an appalling video on her Instagram and Twitter handles. In the video she claimed that Zomato delivery agent Kamaraj assaulted her after she tried to cancel her food order as he arrived 59 minutes late. As claimed, she suffered a nasal bone fracture during the scuffle.

Later, Kamaraj busted Hitesha's allegations and said that it was she who abused him in filthy language and hurled slippers at him. When he tried to defend himself, the ring on her finger hit her nose, added Kamaraj.

The incident stormed the internet and netizens were divided in their reaction. Hitesha had filed a police complaint against Kamaraj and then Kamaraj filed a counter complaint with the police. Police filed an FIR against Hitesha and during the case progress, her residential address was leaked online.

A police official was quoted as saying, “When we went to her house nobody opened the door.” However, the official preferred to stay mum on the issue and refused to comment further.

“A notice will be issued to the woman after the team probing the case is done collecting evidence,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) of Bengaluru City Police Joshi Srinath Mahadev reportedly told a leading newspaper.

Stating safety concerns, Hitesha flew to Maharashtra to her aunt's house after her address was leaked online, informed sources.

A police official reportedly stated that they had given her time to take her statement once she returned, and added, "If she fails to come before police, we will arrest her".
