On Rocking Star Yash’s birthday last week, the makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups unveiled an unexpected teaser revealing his striking first look. The clip opens in a graveyard, where Yash dramatically interrupts a funeral in a car. Before his on-screen introduction as Raya, the teaser shows him seated with a woman, followed by bursts of stylised, high-voltage action.
While the visuals aimed to set the tone for a bold narrative, a section of viewers reacted strongly. The controversy escalated when the Aam Aadmi Party filed a complaint with the Karnataka State Commission for Women, objecting to what it termed an “obscene scene” in the teaser.

An Old Statement Finds New Life
As the teaser backlash gained traction, an old interview of Yash resurfaced online, quickly going viral. The clip is from Weekend with Ramesh, where the actor spoke candidly about his personal boundaries as a performer.
During his conversation with host Ramesh Aravind, Yash had said, “I won’t do any movie scenes that I wouldn’t feel comfortable watching with my parents.”
