Mumbai: Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's first short film "Mohammad and Urvashi" has bagged the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke award.

Agnihotri announced the news on social media and tweeted: "Happy to announce my first short film 'Mohammad and Urvashi' has bagged Dadasaheb Phalke award. Best Actor for Myukh Ray. It's also one year of 'Buddha in a Traffic Jam'".

The filmmaker has also penned "Mohammad and Urvashi", which features actors Mayukh Ray, Manoj Raghubir Sharma and Khushboo Upadhyay.
