Actor Vidyut Jammwal once again left the internet stunned after sharing a powerful and unconventional video showcasing his devotion to ancient martial traditions.
Known for pushing physical and mental boundaries, Vidyut’s latest act sparked a mix of awe, concern, and admiration among fans.
A Ritual Rooted in Discipline and Tradition
On Tuesday, Vidyut took to Instagram to post a video in which he is seen seated on a stage, dressed in traditional attire—a green shirt, white dhoti, and a black cloth tied around his head. As rhythmic drum beats played in the background, the actor grooved with intense focus while several people stood around him.
The moment that truly caught attention came when Vidyut picked up two burning candles and calmly poured the hot, melted wax onto his face, continuing to move to the beat without flinching. The clip ended with a woman approaching him and placing a blindfold over his eyes, adding to the dramatic and ritualistic atmosphere.
Sharing the video, Vidyut wrote, “Honouring the ancient Kalari Payattu and Yoga that empower us to transcend limits.”
Social Media Reacts With Awe and Concern
The video quickly drew strong reactions online. Vidyut captioned the post further, calling it “a testament to the warrior spirit.” Actress Adah Sharma reacted humorously, commenting, “Aag lagaa di stage pe aur apne aap pe bhi.”
While some fans expressed concern over his safety, others praised his discipline and dedication. Comments ranged from “That was scary. Hope he is alright” to “You’re the pride of India.” Many applauded him for embodying the true spirit of a warrior.
Hollywood Debut With Street Fighter
On the work front, Vidyut Jammwal is set to make his Hollywood debut in Paramount Pictures’ live-action reboot of Street Fighter, scheduled for release on October 16, 2026. He will be seen playing Dhalsim, a peaceful yogi with fire-spitting abilities who fights to support his family.
Directed by Kitao Sakurai, Street Fighter boasts a massive ensemble cast including Andrew Koji, Jason Momoa, Roman Reigns, Noah Centineo, and Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson.
