Actor Varun Dhawan has seemingly responded to online trolls who targeted him in the days leading up to the release of Border 2. Ever since the song Ghar Kab Aaoge was released, sections of social media had mocked Varun’s expressions and smile, turning them into memes. However, the actor has made it clear that online noise does not affect his mindset.
Varun’s Instagram Message
Taking to his Instagram Stories on Monday, Varun shared a picture of himself surrounded by fans as he stood in his car waving the National Flag.
Alongside the photo, he wrote, “Border 2 🇮🇳. Love will always triumph hate. Thank you 🙏.” The post was widely seen as a subtle dig at the trolling he faced and a message of gratitude to audiences supporting the film.

“Let Your Work Do the Talking”
Earlier, Varun had addressed the criticism while speaking at the Braves Of The Soil tribute trailer launch for Border 2. Emphasising his belief in focusing on work rather than negativity, he said, “I believe that you shut down the noise and just let your work do the talking. Yeh sab cheezein chalti rehti hai. It doesn’t really matter.”
He added that he does not work for online opinions and that his focus is always on the final product. “Main jis cheeze ke liye kaam karta hoon woh iss Friday ko pata chalega,” he said, underlining his confidence in the film.
Faith in the Film Over Numbers
Varun further stressed that box-office figures and social media chatter do not define his priorities. “Mujhe film pe bharosa hai. Ek achi film banana bohut important hai. Numbers se mera lena dena nahi hai,” he said, adding that audiences ultimately come to theatres to be entertained.
