Union Budget 2021: Fuel Price 'Hike' Triggers Flurry Of Hilarious Reactions and Memes

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman started presenting the Union Budget 2021 in Parliament from 11 am on Monday. During the budget proposal, the government has proposed agri cess of Rs 2.5/ litre on petrol, Rs 4 on diesel.

While many interpreted it as a fuel price hike and petrol getting expensive, Finance Minister later clarified that there will be no rise in retail petrol/diesel prices despite new cess.

However, a flurry of hilarious reactions by netizens and middle-class people on social media were triggered by this fuel price 'hike' leaving the internet in splits.
