Twitter is flooded with wishes celebrating the birthday of Mahesh Ghattamaneni aka Mahesh Babu. Born on 9th August 1975 in Chennai, he is one of the most popular actors of Telugu film industry. As the superstar turned a year older today, hashtags like “Happy Birthday SSMB” and “Happy BirthdaySuperstarMahesh” started trending on the micro-blogging sites from the wee hours.

Apart from the fans showering their love on the “Maharshi” actor, there was another surprise that marked the birthday of the superstar.

Anil Ravipudi Surprises Mahesh Babu Fans With A Treat

It was a double whammy for Mahesh Babu fans. The director of Sarileru Neekevvaru, Anil Ravipudi released an introductory video of Mahesh Babu as Major Ajay Krishna to mark his birthday. In the movie, Mahesh is portraying the character of an army officer.

The introductory video is already creating ripples on the microblogging site as fans simply cannot stop themselves from gushing over the actor. The movie becomes all the more significant in the current backdrop of the scrapping of Article 370 as certain portions of the film has been shot in Kashmir.

Mahesh had already said that he was looking forward towards working with Anil and that he loved the script immensely. The actor’s last movie released was “Maharshi” that was a super hit after which he took off to Europe for holidays and enjoying ICC World Cup matches with his family.

While discussing the movie Sarileru Nekevvaru, Mahesh said, “My previous outings were very intense projects. So, once I wanted to do a full-length entertainer like Dookudu, I thought to come out from my comfort zone. It would be a refreshing start for me as well.
