At a time when the entire nation is in grief and mourning martyrs of the Pulwama terror attack, one should abstain from making any comment hurting the sentiment of people. Following the attack, Navjot Singh Sidhu had said that for a handful of people the entire nation (Pakistan) couldn't be blamed. His comment didn't go well with the netizens and soon #boycottsidhu and #boycottkapilsharma started trending on social media and Sony TV was forced to sack Sidhu.

As if it was not enough, the host of the show, Kapil Sharma has now made a comment inviting more trouble. During an event in Chandigarh, Kapil reportedly said that 'banning or sacking' Sidhu from his show is 'not a solution. Within a few hours, #BoycottKapilSharma became the top trend on Twitter despite the fact that a section of social media spoke in support of Kapil.

Now rumours are making rounds that a campaign has started to fully boycott Sony TV. Adding to the rumours, Sony TV is now considering to cancel the show for a few month. However, there seems to be no truth in all these rumours as Sony TV, in a tweet on February 17, already confirmed that they have replaced Sidhu. It had tweeted, "We welcome Archana Puran Singh on #TheKapilSharmaShow, next Sunday!"

So for the time being, Archana Puran Singh has stepped in on The Kapil Sharma Show, although it is not clear if it is a temporary or permanent replacement.

On the other hand, Kapil recently tweeted, "Come forward n support the families of our real heroes who sacrificed their lives for our country.. u can also pay thru @Paytm @crpfindia #SupportOurForces #JaiHind ? ??"... It speaks a lot!!

Hope, Kapil will continue to entertain and make people laugh through Sony TV's The Kapil Sharma Show!
