Trailer of movie on wedding gift blast case takes internet by storm
Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited trailer of the high-octane thriller movie based on the ‘Patnagarh’ wedding gift blast case has been released and as expected, it received an overwhelming response.
The movie Patnagarh is an adaptation of the sensational case in Bolangir’s Patnagarh in which newly-wed Soumyasekhar and his grandmother were blown up by a parcel bomb which was sent as a wedding gift.
The trailer begins with a burnt piece of a parcel and soon after enters Bollywood actor Atul Kulkarni, who is playing the role of Crime Branch IG Arun Bothra in the movie.
In a candid conversation with OTV about the movie, the Rang De Basanti-fame actor who is known for portraying intense and serious characters said that he is excited about the movie and hopes that it would change the face of Ollywood.
“Patnagarh will prove to be an important film for the Odia film industry. One or two films sometimes change the face of the regional film industries and give them recognition at national level. I think Patnagarh will prove to be the one for the Odia film industry,” said Atul.
Besides the B-Town actor, Ollywood actor Manoj Misha will be seen playing the main antagonist in the movie.
Meanwhile, ‘Patnagarh’ director and National Award winner Rajesh Touchriver said that making movies on real life events are difficult.
Without revealing much about the movie, Rajesh further said “We have taken the incident (wedding gift blast) only. Rest of it is just fiction.”
