Virat Kohli is a big name in the cricketing world today. But the craze of Salman Khan across pan India has been irreplaceable for almost a decade. The trinity of Khans-Aamir, Shah Rukh and Salman reigned supreme among the list of Indian celebrities until a few years ago. Of course, a few cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar or MS Dhoni did challenge their listing on the top; they could not shake the huge popularity of Salman that has increased in the last decade.

Post “Wanted” the superstar’s stardom has increased beyond imagination whereas the popularity of Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan has declined. On the couch of Karan Johar’s show last year, the “Lagaan” actor even said that Salman Khan is the only actor who has superstardom. But that was a year ago. As the sun sets in 2019 and its time to welcome 2020, will Salman continue to rule the roost? The success of “Dabangg 3” is going to play a major role in this.

Forbes Places Virat Ahead Of Salman

In the last few years, Salman Khan topped the Forbes Celebrity List and emerged the most popular celebrity of India. But this year, the captain of the Indian cricket team dethroned the “Bajrangi Bhaijjan” actor and arrested the top slot followed by Akshay Kumar who had the maximum movie releases this year and hence was in news almost every day.

Thus, Salman Khan who has been used to being at the top this year finds himself at number third spot in the Forbes Celebrity List 2019 just ahead of the ageing superstar of yesteryear Amitabh Bachchan. Age is catching fast with Aamir and Shah Rukh Khan but the “Dabangg” superstar continues to look young and handsome despite being close to 54 years.

But with Virat Kohli dethroning Salman from the number one spot will the “Bharat” superstar be able to bounce back next year and prove his dominance once again?
