Once known for his roles in Koi… Mil Gaya and Jaani Dushman, actor Rajat Bedi has made a striking comeback in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut The Ba**ds of Bollywood. But behind the glitz of his return lies a story of deep struggle, sleepless nights, and silent battles.
In a candid conversation with Mid-Day, the actor revealed how he went through nervous breakdowns and had to rely on sleeping pills during the most challenging phase of his life.
“I Was Completely Done”
Rajat recalled how financial stress and repeated disappointments pushed him to the brink. “I was having nervous breakdowns. I was on tablets. I couldn’t sleep because I kept thinking how will the house run, what’s next? I couldn’t see a future ahead,” he shared. His wife, unable to see him suffer, urged him to step away from the chaos.
He also opened up about being underpaid despite working in hit films, often asked by producers to forgo his fees when movies flopped. “I got name and recognition but never the money I deserved,” he said.
A Comeback Rooted in Gratitude
Now, with The Ba**ds of Bollywood, Rajat Bedi feels a renewed sense of hope. Grateful to the Khan family for believing in him, he said, “This comeback feels surreal. People are calling it my second innings, and I’m thankful for every bit of it.”
From sleepless nights to standing tall again, Rajat’s story is one of resilience, survival, and rediscovery.
