The Kapil Sharma Show's Archana Puran Singh Wants To Transform Into Navjot Sidhu; Here's Why

“The Kapil Sharma Show” completed one year recently without break after on and off sessions previously. The show is doing well TRP-wise and with financial backing from Salman Khan’s production house hopefully, it will continue to entertain the audience for some more time. Despite some changes like the exclusion of Sunil Grover aka Gutthi, Bua and Dadi, the comedy show helmed by Kapil Sharma continues to make people laugh.

The appearance of Krishna as Sapna has somehow helped overcome the void left by Gutthi’s disappearance. However, one of the very big changes that took place on the show last year was the replacement of all-time favourite judge Navjot Sidhu by Archana Puran Singh. The senior actress has been a permanent judge on Sony television’s Comedy Circus for long years.

So when due to political and national issues the makers could not continue with Sidhu on the chair of a judge, they immediately roped in Archana for that role. Although many times jokes are cracked about the return of the ex-Indian opening batsman on the show, the current situation indicates that it may not be anytime sooner.

Why Does Archana Want To Transform Into Sidhu?

According to reports, Archana Puran Singh is not being paid the same remuneration or paycheck as Sidhu. Insider sources said that Sidhu was paid a very good amount as compared to this yesteryear actress who has worked in a lot of movies and on television as actress, judge, and host. Despite her experience and long-term association with the entertainment industry she is being treated secondarily.

That is the reason, the actress jokingly said recently that she would like to transform into Sidhu so that the production offers her equal payment. Despite all the hard work that female actresses and stars put in their work, more often male lead is offered higher pay than the female which needs to change.
