Comedy Nights With Kapil
Kapil Sharma gained fame with Comedy Circus and then went on to have his own show Comedy Nights With Kapil. The star cast included newcomers in the comedy world as well as a few popular names. Asgar Ali, Sunil Grover, Upasana Singh, Kiku Sharda, Sumona Chakravarti, Sugandha Mishra, and Chandan Prabhakar entertained the audience in a big way.
Post the famous split of Kapil with Sunil Grover aka Gutthi, the standup comedian came up with The Kapil Sharma Show sans Sunil, Ali Asgar, Sugandha Mishra, and Upasana Singh. While Sumona, Kiku, and Chandan continue to be a part of this show which completed 2 years of a successful run on Sony Television, the others have been replaced by Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh.
So what are these stars who left the comedy show are doing now?
Sunil Grover became a household name with his characters Gutthi and Mashoor Gulati that he played on Comedy Nights with Kapil. While the comedian did not return on The Kapil Sharma Show, he continued doing these characters on various reality shows and award functions. He played a key role in Salman Khan's Bharat and was also a part of the recently released Abbas Ali Zafar's controversial web series Tandav.

Sunil also tried to make a comeback on television with Gangs of Filmistaan but failed to woo the audience and the show had to be taken off due to very low TRPs. Yesteryear actress who played the rule of Bua in Comedy Nights with Kapil was also a part of this comedy show that aired on Star Bharat.

Prior to that, the actress was also a part of the comedy show Kanpur Wale Khuranas on Star Plus which too failed to woo the audience. However, her role as Bebe in SAB TV's Jijaji Chhat Per Hain was highly appreciated. Upsana Singh was also a part of Varun Dhawan's Judwaa 2 and a couple of Punjabi movies.
Sugandha Mishra recently opened up that she was never asked to return on The Kapil Sharma Show. However, she may think of doing so if the proposal comes her way. Currently, she is busy with Flipkart's unique quiz show Prize Wali Paathshala.

Ali Asgar also did not return on The Kapil Sharma Show because of creative differences with Kapil and his team. The 50-year-old comedian believed that his role as Dadi was getting stagnant and did not have any scope of growth.
