Much to everyone’s dismay, Telly’s favourite show – The Kapil Sharma Show is going off-air. Recently, Kapil confirmed that he is expecting his second child and will take parental leave to welcome the little baby into the world. After this, while many fans were left upset, some requested Sunil Grover to take Kapil’s place in the show as host for the time being.

"We will miss Kapil a lot but if the show will also be stopped, maybe for a short period, it will hurt us more. As they (Kapil and Grover) have already buried their enmity and friends now, it would be great if our Dr Masoor Gulati returns to The Kapil Sharma Show," said a fan.
"No doubt, it wouldn't be the same without the great Kapil but why to stop the show from airing. Producer Salman Khan should talk to Grover and continue the show. It has become more than just a show for us now," said another fan.
Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma’s relationship is bittersweet as once telly’s blockbuster duo got into a fight. Ever since Gutthi left the show, there had been a number of speculations and reports that he might join the show soon. But all vain, he went on to launch his own show and has been caught with showcasing his acting skills as well. He has now taken the critics and audience by surprise with his impressive role in Tandav.

The actor is trying to create his foot in the world of acting apart from comedy which he is best known for. Sunil is already super busy as he is juggling between movies and series that he has in his kitty.
However, interestingly as soon as the news of the comedy show going off-air broke, fans took to social media to urge Sunil to come back to his old show, not as Guthi, but as the show’s host.
In Kapil’s absence, viewers wanted his old colleague Grover to take his place till he returns as the two are among the few people who share impeccable comedic timing and witty humour.
Now, will The Kapil Sharma Show stakeholders approach Sunil Grover as per fans’ request? Given the tight schedule of Dr Mashoor Gulati though it looks a bit difficult, it would be a treat to watch Grover once again donning his Gulati and Guthi looks.
