Being in the entertainment world, almost everyone is connected to each other. Likewise, Sunil Grover who rose to fame with The Kapil Sharma Show has one way or the other either shared a stage or worked on television with most of the famous comedians in India. But one particular comedian who rose to pinnacles during the Doordarshan days has been very special for the Tandav actor.

It is none other than Jaspal Bhatti, whose short satirical takes on daily issues triggered laughter in the houses of Indians during the 90s. And just as every junior reveres, and respects the seniors and their craft, The Kapil Sharma Show's former actor also has a special spot for Jaspalji.

Sunil Grover of The Kapil Sharma Show Once Worked With Jaspal Bhatti

It was Bhatti who discovered the talent in the Bharat actor when he was in college and from there on started the journey of Sunil. He worked in a few episodes on Bhatti's show for Doordarshan. It is where Sunil learned the first lessons of doing comedy for sitcoms and television. And that is why even today Sunil remembers his mentor every now and then.

Late-night yesterday he shared a clip of himself with Bhatti from one of the episodes remembering his connection. Even on the birthday of Doordarshan's comedy king earlier this month, The Kapil Sharma Show's former comedian penned an elaborate note.

Sunil wrote, "Birth Anniversary of Jaspal Bhatti Sir today. The man who made the entire generation laugh with his wit and humor. I had the opportunity to work with him at a very young age. He found humor in everything that he saw. Underlaid message for society was his goal. He must be making sure now that heavens know where they stand."

Over the years Sunil has earned a reputation of being the topmost comedian on Indian television. But it was another topmost comedian of the country who made this possible.
