The Family Man 3: Jaideep Ahlawat calls Manoj Bajpayee his daily inspiration, talks about joining the franchise after Paatal Lok 2

After winning hearts with his powerful portrayal of Hathiram Chaudhary in Paatal Lok, Jaideep Ahlawat is all set to take on a darker turn in The Family Man Season 3. 

The actor will play the lead antagonist, Rukma, opposite Manoj Bajpayee’s Srikant Tiwari. At the trailer launch, Jaideep expressed immense gratitude for what he called an “incredible year,” beginning with Paatal Lok 2 in January and ending with The Family Man 3 in November.

“I’m really grateful to Raj and DK, my home Prime Video, and of course Manoj Bhai. Starting the year with Paatal Lok and ending it with The Family Man — what more could I ask for?” Jaideep said.

“Rukma Is Ruthless and Carefree”

Speaking about his new role, Jaideep described Rukma as “ruthless” and “carefree,” a stark contrast to his earlier character Hathiram. “It’s the makers’ responsibility to separate Hathiram from me. The character is designed by Raj and DK. The show’s arc and tone helped me a lot in portraying Rukma,” he explained.

The third season promises an intense face-off between Rukma and Srikant, taking the cat-and-mouse game to new heights.

Manoj Bajpayee: A Constant Source of Inspiration

Jaideep couldn’t stop praising his co-star Manoj Bajpayee, calling him his biggest inspiration. “Working with the person who inspires you every day — Manoj Bhai — is a wonderful experience. Watching him prepare and perform is a lesson in itself,” Jaideep shared.

Their on-screen clash is one of the most anticipated elements of the new season, with fans already calling it “a dream matchup” in the trailer comments.

Fans Excited for the Grand Premiere

The Family Man 3 brings back familiar faces like Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, and Ashlesha Thakur, alongside new additions such as Jaideep Ahlawat and Nimrat Kaur. The show continues to explore the fine balance between duty and family, with higher stakes and emotional depth.

Amazon Prime Video dropped the trailer on November 7, captioned, “agent Srikant Tiwari 𝚛̶𝚎̶𝚙̶𝚘̶𝚛̶𝚝̶𝚒̶𝚗̶𝚐̶ ̶𝚘̶𝚗̶ ̶𝚍̶𝚞̶𝚝̶𝚢̶ ̶ is on the run.” Fans flooded the comments, calling it “the benchmark for Indian thrillers.”
