“My Daily Wage Was My Father’s Monthly Salary”

During the interview, Ranveer shared that producer Ramesh Taurani was in awe of Lakshya’s courage to quit his Rs 30-lakh-per-month role. Laughing, Lakshya said, “In TV, the system works per day, Rs 15,000, Rs 20,000, Rs 25,000. My price was quite good back then.”

He recalled the moment his show Porus was nearing its end. “I called my father and told him I’m getting another offer. He said, ‘Take it! You’re earning per day what I earn in a month.’ That’s the kind of middle-class wisdom I grew up with,” Lakshya shared, reflecting on his grounded upbringing.
