Bhubaneswar/Patna: After dismissal of several PILs against the movie 'The Accidental Prime Minister', the court of Sub-Divisional Judge (East) at Muzaffarpur in Bihar on Tuesday ordered an FIR against the actors and the makers of the movie.

'The Accidental Prime Minister', the movie based on former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, is set to hit the theaters on January 11 but prior to that, it has already created much buzz with several PILs being moved seeking a ban on even the trailer of the movie.

As per a report of The Hindu, the Kanti police has been ordered to lodge an FIR against Akshaye Khanna, Anupam Kher and 15 others, including the producer and director of the movie, while hearing a plea of an advocate who claimed that the film has portrayed the former PM and other public figures in bad light.

“The way public figures are portrayed in the film presents a poor image of the country as well,” the advocate said in his complaint, reported The Hindu.

Meanwhile, 'The Accidental Prime Minister' producer Sunil Bohra has said that he knew there will be conjectures about it being a propaganda film but he is confident that the movie will be a game changer for political cinema in India.
