A Big NO

Tamannaah shared that moments like break an aspiring actor’s will, especially when they are new to the industry and working opposite much older, established directors and stars. She further revealed that there are individuals in the film industry who attempt to take advantage of new comers and outsiders.

Never Compromise

However, she revealed that she decided to give in to the pressure. “I told myself that whatever happens, I will face it,” she said, emphasizing that she refused to compromise her comfort or boundaries.

Later, the same director returned and apologised to her for his behaviour after she became a star.

Her experience has resonated widely, serving as a strong reminder that consent is non-negotiable and that saying ‘NO’ requires a lot of courage. Tamannaah’s shared the need for safer, more respectful working environments in the film industry, where actors, especially young women, can express discomfort without fear of retaliation.
