Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Famous Actor Says 'I Support Corruption'

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's famous actor Shailesh Lodha recently made a statement on corruption issues in the country. Shaileshji plays the character of Taarak Mehta on the famous comedy show and is often referred to as Fire Brigade by Jethalal.

Importantly, apart from being known for his famous character on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Shailesh Lodha is also famous as a poet which is why he keeps on attending various Kavi sammelan and programs.

Most of the episodes in #tmkoc are based on Jethalal being stuck in a problem and Taarak Mehta, his best friend, helps him out of it whom Jethalal calls "Fire Brigade."

Recently at one such function, the comedy actor revealed his heartfelt opinion as to why he does not speak against corruption in the country.

Shaileshji said, "Many people ask me Shaileshji you never talk about corruption in the country. Yes, I do not talk about corruption because I am a supporter of corruption." The actor said it in a cynical way but clarified his statement by saying, "I never say anything against corruption because neither you nor I have any right to speak against it. Slamming and criticizing politics in the country is not going to end corruption."

Shaileshji said, "What right do we have as Indians to speak against corruption if we are ready to give Rs.200 to the police and get away for not carrying required papers and documents while driving?"

The Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Mehta Saab further asked how can we speak against corruption if we are ready to pay an extra amount for getting a seat on the train, try to avoid paying toll tax and impress the teachers by gifting them boxes of sweets.

According to Lodhaji if you cannot help a woman when she is being teased or help an elderly for crossing the road or cannot understand the problems of others then you do not have any right to speak against corruption. Rightly said Mehta Saab aka Lodhaji!
