Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Disha Vakani aka Dayaben Stuns Big B With Her Special Angrezi

Disha Vakani and Dilip Joshi have undoubtedly immortalized the lead characters of Dayaben and Jethalal in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Almost 5 to 6 years ago the pair appeared on KBC and entertained the audience with their regular charade.

Rather it was the special Angrezi of Dayaben that left the KBC host Amitabh Bachchan stunned.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Dayaben Stuns Big B With Her English

As is known both Jethalal and Daya are not well versed in English but they do try to speak their typical Angrezi. And the fans love their desi twist to English very much.

So when Daya and Dilip Joshi came on the sets of KBC, it was but natural for Senior Bachchan to test their English which as expected triggered laughter among the audience. When Amitabh asked Daya if she can speak a few words in English, the ever-enthusiastic Daya replied, "Angrezi mein toh bahut kuch aata hai. Kahan se shuru karu?"

Jethalal who is sitting beside her says, "A se shuru kar." And in her typical style, Daya recited all the letters from A to Z and numbers from 1 to 10.  But what triggered applause and laughter from the audience was the way Disha Vakani aka Daya mimicked the English actors leaving the Shahenshah of Bollywood stunned.

The entire episode triggered a riot of laughter with the queen of comedy answering Big B's questions in her Angrezi style.

Currently, Disha Vakani has taken a break from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. However, she continues to entertain the audience as the old episodes of TMKOC are daily telecast on Sony SAB throughout the day.
