“Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” is missing Dayaben aka Disha Vakani. Of course, the show continues to offer the same humor and joy for which the fans love to watch it and has continued to get good TRP.
Even then the ‘nok-zhok’ between Daya and Jethalal is always a treat to watch. Talks about Disha Vakani’s return have been going on constantly ever since she delivered her daughter. But there has never been any update from either Disha or Asit Kumar Modi who helms the production of the show. After a long time a few weeks ago, Disha posted an old photograph of herself from the serial triggering her comeback rumors.
Even Jethalal gave hints of her intention to return during the recently held Ganapati Celebration program in Gokuldham. And now here comes another twist.
Postcard Quiz Triggers Speculations About Disha’s Return?
The preview of “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” shows everyone from Gokuldham receiving a postcard with a quiz written on it. From Jethalal, Mehta sahib to Popatlal and Hathibhai everyone in the Powder Galli society is wondering as to what is the answer to this quiz and who must have sent these postcards.
Very interestingly, the postcards are delivered to each member of Gokuldham in the classic Rajesh Khanna style of “Dakiya Dak Laya.” Many believe that the answer to this postcard quiz is the return of Dayaben to the show. Since it is quite impossible to replace the iconic character earlier played by Disha Vakani makers have decided to wait for her return instead of replacing her with someone else.
It should be noted that the show did see some replacements in major characters like Tappu, Sonu and now Hathibhai. But replacing Disha was not an easy task as fans can never forget the character played by the “Jodha Akbar” actress.
