“I Told Him I’d Make a Great Wrestler”

Recalling the conversation, Swara said, “I told him, ‘Sir, aapko mujhe cast karna chahiye, main bahut acchi pehelwan banungi’ (You should cast me; I’d make a very good wrestler).”

However, Aditya Chopra responded, “Nahi, mujhe aisa nahi lagta, Swara” (No, I don’t think so, Swara). She laughed it off, saying, “Okay, that’s fine.”

Swara added that she has never hesitated to ask for work because, as an outsider in Bollywood, she had no godfather or connections to rely on.

“If we maintain too much formality, we won’t get work. Whatever I’ve achieved, I’ve fought for it or earned it on my own,” she explained.

“I’m Never Ashamed to Ask for Work”

The Veere Di Wedding actor emphasised that she doesn’t feel embarrassed to reach out to filmmakers. “I’m very polite in every other aspect of my life, but I’ve never felt ashamed to ask anyone for work. I think that’s completely fine — I should ask for it,” she said, adding that she hasn’t approached anyone since becoming pregnant.

While Swara didn’t bag Sultan, she did share screen space with Salman Khan as his sister in the 2015 family drama Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo.
