Mumbai: Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, singer Guru Randhawa, and Bollywood celeb Sussanne Khan were arrested during a raid at Mumbai club Dragonfly. They were among the 34 people who were arrested by the Mumbai Police for violating Covid-19 norms at the club located near the airport. They have been later released on bail.

The Sahar police raided Dragon Fly at 2:30 am on Tuesday. The club was found to be breaking several Covid-19 norms and kept the pub open in spite of the night curfew across Maharashtra imposed by the state government.

Senior officer of Sahar Police Station stated that Raina along with others was booked under Section 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), 269 (whoever unlawfully or negligently does any act which is, and which he knows or has reason to believe to be, likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life), 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC and provisions of NMDA.

Ahead of the New Year, the Maharashtra government has imposed a night curfew in the state from December 22 to January 5 due to the rising Covid-19 cases.
