Riding high on the massive response to Border 2, Sunny Deol has already locked his next film. The actor is set to collaborate with Farhan Akhtar and acclaimed filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss on an upcoming action thriller.
Though the project is yet to be officially titled, it has generated strong buzz, marking another major step in Deol’s successful comeback phase.

Balaji Ganesh to Make Directorial Debut
The action-packed film will be directed by Balaji Ganesh, who makes his directorial debut with this project. According to the makers, the film is scheduled to go on floors in February 2026. While details remain under wraps, a clapboard shared from the set suggests the working title of the film is Antony.
Jyotika to Star Opposite Sunny Deol
Adding to the excitement, it has been confirmed that Jyotika will play the female lead opposite Sunny Deol. This pairing has piqued curiosity among fans, as both actors are known for their strong screen presence. The makers are expected to reveal more details about the storyline and supporting cast in the coming months.
Balaji Ganesh previously worked as an assistant director under A.R. Murugadoss on Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna. Directed by Murugadoss, the film also featured Kajal Aggarwal, Suniel Shetty, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, and Sharman Joshi, and followed a high-octane narrative centred on justice and sacrifice.

Border 2 Continues Box Office Dominance
Meanwhile, Border 2 continues its impressive run at the box office. The film is racing towards the ₹100 crore worldwide mark within just three days of release. According to Sacnilk, the film has already collected ₹93 crore globally in its first two days, including ₹78.60 crore from India and ₹15 crore from overseas markets.
Opening with a strong ₹43.5 crore worldwide on day one, Border 2 has maintained steady collections and strong footfalls, reinforcing Sunny Deol’s remarkable streak with sequels that blend nostalgia with box office power.
