This year’s SIIMA Awards have been organized outside India in a new territory of Qatar. SIIMA Awards 2019 will be the eighth edition of the event which is currently being held in Doha’s Lusail Indoor Arena on 15 August and 16 August.

Rangasthalam And KGF Make Mark On First Day

On the first day, contributions from Telugu and Kannada film industries were honored whereas on 16th August, the hosts will recognize the best contributions from Tamil and Malayalam films. KGF: Chapter 1 star Yash has received the most coveted best actor awards. The movie has also received best director award (Prashanth Neel), best cinematographer award (Bhuvan Gowda), and best actress in supporting role (Archana Jois) in the Kannada category.

In the Telugu category, Rangasthalam bagged most of the prominent SIIMA Awards 2019. These include best supporting role female (Anasuya Bharadwaj), best actor in a leading role (Ram Charan), best music director (Sri Devi Prasad), best female playback singer (MM Manasi for Rangamma Mangamma), best lyrics writer (Chandra Bose), and best cinematographer (Rathnavelu).

600 Celebrities To Attend The SIMMA 2019

According to the organizers, more than 600 celebrities from the four Southern film fraternities are expected to be present at the event. These will include Radhika Sarathkumar, Vijay Devarakonda, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Shriya Saran, Keerthy Suresh, Prakash Raj, Sudheer Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Payal Rajput, Niddhi Agerwal, Raai Laxmi, Allu Arvind and more from Tollywood.

Prominent stars from Sandalwood expected to grace the SIMMA 2019 event include Anupama Gowda, Yash, Saikumar, Sharmila Mandre, Sonika Gowda, Simran, Rachitha Ram, Tejaswini Prakash and more. Some of the stars including Shriya Saran, Devi Sri Prasad, Sharmiela Mandre, Shanvi Srivastava, Andrea Jeremiah, Manvitha Harish, Ashika Ranganath, Niddhi Agerwal, Nikhila Vimal, and Oviya will be entertaining the guests with their performances during this two-day event.
