Shraddha Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are leading the bandwagon of young actresses in B-town. Just as there was a time of Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi and Juhi Chawla and then later on Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif, Shraddha and Alia are always considered competitors. Shraddha Kapoor started her Bollywood career in 2010 through “Teen Patti” and two years later Alia debuted with “Student of the year.”

While Shraddha had to wait for “Aashiqui 2” to give her the stardom and big break, for Alia her first movie was a big hit and she was flooded with offers. Moreover, the head of Dharma Productions, Karan Johar has always been her big support and offered her major hits like “Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya,” “2 States,” Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya” and “Raazi.”

On the other hand, Shraddha although being the daughter of yesteryear actor Shakti Kapoor had to carve her road. She also has a major hit like “Ek Villain,” “ABCD 2,” “Baaghi,” and “Stree.”

Shraddha And Alia’s Releases In 2020

Shraddha had a hit with “Saaho” against Prabhas last year whereas Alia also had a big hit “Gully Boy” opposite Ranveer Singh. Contrarily, Shraddha’s “Chhichhore” and Alia’s “Kalank” did not do well at the box-office. In 2020, Shraddha Kapoor will have her first biggest release with “Street Dancer 3D” opposite Varun Dhawan and directed by Remo D’Souza. The dance-based movie also has Prabhu Deva and Nora Fatehi in major roles and is expected to do well. She will also be seen in “Baaghi 3” opposite Tiger Shroff which is an action sequel.

Alia Bhatt as of now has five projects lined up for next year. The release dates of some of these movies are not yet confirmed or postponed. Even then a few of them are expected to release in 2020. The movies Alia is doing include “Sadak 2” which is a sequel to a movie directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt in 1991 opposite Aditya Roy Kapur, “Brahmastra” with Ranbir Kapoor, a Telugu period movie with NTR junior and Ram Charan, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Gangubai Kathiawadi.”

She is also a part of Karan Johar’s multi-star cast movie “Takht.” Either way, both the actresses are poised to do very well this year. Shraddha Kapoor’s both the 2020 releases are sequels of franchises that have been immensely successful. So they are bound to do well this year too. For Alia “Brahmastra” and “Gangubai Kathiawadi”s success is more important as they are mainstream flicks and may directly impact her career.
