Television star Shivangi Joshi has opened up about her personal guilty pleasure, sharing that she still enjoys watching the cartoons she grew up with and finds comfort in revisiting her childhood favourites.
Speaking on the Balaji Telefilms podcast ‘Honestly, Why Not’, the actress revealed that shows like ‘Oswald’, ‘Noddy’ and ‘Doraemon’ continue to be part of her binge-watch list even today. Along with cartoons, she also enjoys watching Barbie movies, which she describes as feel-good comfort content that never really leaves her life.
When asked if she has a guilty pleasure or a hobby she secretly indulges in, Shivangi said: “Guilty pleasure? Yes, I do. I mean, I binge-watch.. And that too cartoons. Jab main choti thi, jo main tab cartoons dekhti thi. I like watching Oswald, Noddy, and Doraemon.”

Doing Nothing Is Also Self-Care
She added that her love for animated content hasn’t faded with time. “Yeah, even now. Aur Barbie movies aur yeh saari cheezein main abhi bhi dekhti hu. And also, when I'm not doing anything, I like to do nothing. Sleep. And do nothing. Just be in my room and do nothing.”
From TV Debut to Leading Roles
The 27-year-old actress began her television journey with a cameo in ‘Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi’ before making her full-fledged acting debut in 2013 with ‘Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi’. She later went on to feature in popular shows such as ‘Beintehaa’, ‘Begusarai’, and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’.
She portrayed Anandi Chaturvedi in ‘Balika Vadhu 2’ and was also seen in ‘Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka’. Most recently, Shivangi appeared in ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 4’ alongside Harshad Chopda. The fourth installment of the popular franchise explores themes of emotional healing, trust, love, and revenge, with storylines involving a fake marriage and family conflicts.

Her Take on Relationships and Dating
In the same podcast, Shivangi also shared her thoughts on relationships and dating.
“According to me, what truly matters is the person, the respect, understanding, love, and values they bring into a relationship. The profession really doesn’t matter,” said Shivangi.
