While Bollywood is all about sequels this year, telly soaps and OTT platforms are not too late to cash on this trend as well.  From Qubool Hai to Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, the viewers are able to witness their favourite show and actors coming back to life again. While most are taking the OTT route to drop the telly soap sequel, it hasn’t impacted the audience’s enthusiasm. Now there are a number of telly soap sequels lined up as well, from Sasural Simar Ka 2 to Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi.

Take a look at all the hit serials which are going to hit the screens soon that will surely bring a wave of nostalgia for the audience.

Sasural Simar Ka 2

One of the highest TRP grossing shows, the show aired for a good six years with Dipika Kakar as Simar in the lead. Her chemistry with co-star Shoaib Ibrahim was the talk of the town with the two later tying the knot off-screen too.  The audience loved Dipika so much that she later went on to participate in Bigg Boss 12 and defeated Sreesanth to emerge as the winner. Now, Dipika announced that Simar is all set to return soon with the soap’s sequel. While the date hasn’t been announced yet, the buzz it has created surely indicates that the audience can’t wait to see their favourite stars again.

Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi

One of the telly’s most popular shows Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi is ready to be back with season 3 after three years. Much to the delight of the viewers, Dev and Sonakshi aka Shaheer and Erica will reunite again for the show’s third season. The show had ended in 2017 and was a huge hit and continuously topped TRP charts. With audience demand, the makers made this decision of bringing the famous characters back but on the OTT platform instead of the smalls screen like earlier.

Pavitra Rishta 2

From 2009 to 2014, Pavitra Rishta starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande was the most popular telly soap. Later Sushant went on to pursue his career in Bollywood but the audience longed to watch Archana and Manav again. Now, walking on recent trends the makers of the show have decided to reprise the show for a new season. While casting new actors who fit into the characters like Sushant and Ankita and win the audience will be a huge hurdle for them.
