Despite their closeness, Sanjay Dutt once declined an important role in Salman Khan’s romantic blockbuster Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. Reports suggest he was offered the role of Salman’s brother-in-law, a character central to the narrative.

Why He Walked Away?

According to multiple reports, Sanjay Dutt chose to turn down the offer as he was not keen on taking up a supporting role at that stage of his career. Following his exit, Arbaaz Khan stepped in and portrayed Vishal Thakur, Kajol’s protective brother.

About Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya

The 1998 film starred Salman Khan as Suraj Khanna and Kajol as Muskaan Thakur, with Dharmendra playing her uncle, Ajay Singh Thakur. Salman and Kajol’s chemistry won widespread appreciation, while Arbaaz’s character evolved from an opponent to an ally in their love story.
