The opening weekend was certainly remarkable and the box office collection remained high until the release of Ram Pothineni starrer and Puri Jagganadh directed 'iSmart Shankar.' As per reports, Ram Pothineni's iSmart Shankar has ruled out Samantha's Oh Baby but the fight still continues even after several days of release.

It is undeniable that Samantha Akkineni starrer 'Oh! Baby' has added new feathers to the successful carrier of the 'Rangasthalam' actress for portraying a challenging role with perfection. The talented 'Majhili' actress donned the character of a 70-year-old woman and received huge applauds. 'Oh! Baby' is the official remake of Miss Granny and Samantha plays the character of an old woman who turns into a 24-year-old girl after getting photographed at a studio.

'Oh! Baby' is a special movie for the Majhili actress as it is her first movie in solo lead that created a milestone. It became the fourth Telugu movie to reach the million-dollar feat in 2019 after F2: Fun and Frustration, Maharshi and Jersey.

On the other hand, Puri Jagganadh's iSmart Shankar starring Ram Pothineni, Naba Natesh and Niddhi Agerwal which was released on July 18, had a good opening and set the box-office on fire in the first six days of release.

Besides, 'iSmart Shankar' registered a comeback of Puri Jagganadh and was declared as a blockbuster. After 18 days of its release, the movie still continues to set the cash registers ringing at the ticket windows in theaters globally.
With a unique concept, Ram Pothineni plays the character of Rowdy Shankar in which he has scores of people to settle with and cops are after him. But, things get worse when a chip is inserted into his brain that affects his memories. The film is all about how Shankar is able to outsmart the conspires against him.

According to the trade analyst Jeevi, 'iSmart Shankar' had recorded a collection of $242,415 (Rs 1.67 Crore) at Worldwide box office (till last week) while 'Oh! Baby' had a collection of $1,000,606 (Rs 6.90 Crore) as on July 23.

Well, both the films belong to different genres and are doing good in particular regions of the country as well as across the borders. Even though Samantha's 'Oh! Baby' has completed its one month of release, the theatres still get crowded with audience. Hopefully, its Samantha Vs Ram and the box-office fight continues.
