Samantha Akkineni is currently on cloud nine following the success of her recent flick Oh! Baby. She is not only a talented and gorgeous actress of the South film industry but also one of those few stars who always stand for a noble and social cause. In view of the acute water shortage in the South, especially in Hyderabad and Chennai, Samantha has now initiated the ‘One Bucket’ Challenge to create awareness among the public to save water.

In her recent twitter post, the Majili actress announced that she will be taking the One Bucket’ Challenge this Sunday (July 21). As per the ‘One Bucket’ Challenge, an individual is supposed to use only one bucket of water for one whole day which includes brushing, bathing, wash hands etc.

Samantha also urged her fans to take up the challenge on a ‘no cheating’ policy to use one bucket of water on July 21. She also informed that she would post pictures of her water usage using only a bucket.

She tweeted "Who’s with me ? This Sunday.. One bucket challenge.. (with pictures) .. no long showers , no washing vehicles , no leaving the tap on while you wash your face ..... I will post a pic of my bright blue bucket as well (no cheating) #everydropcounts."

On the work front, Samantha Akkineni was last seen in B.V. Nandini Reddy’s fantasy comedy Oh! Baby. The movie, which is a remake of the South Korean hit Miss Granny (2014), also featured Naga Shaurya, Lakshmi and Rajendra Prasad.
