A couple of months ago the fallout between Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali hit the headlines as the director and actor duo decided to shelve their movie project together “Inshallah.” While both of them termed the fallout as nothing personal but only due to creative differences, it is not the first time that SLB has to close a project with Salman due to creative reasons.

According to leading producer Nikhil Dwivedi, the “Padmavat” producer and director had earlier planned to bring the superstar pairing of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen once again. Salman has earlier worked with SLB in his highly appreciated movies like “Khamoshi: The Musical” and “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.” Salman even made a guest appearance in the Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor debut movie “Sawariya.” Shah Rukh Khan has worked with Bhansali in “Devdas.”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali Was Not Happy

The “Dabangg 3” producer said, “Yes, it almost happened. Both SRK and SK had agreed to come together, we were excited about it. But I believe Bhansali wasn’t very happy with the second half of the script and wanted more time to work on it.” In the meantime, Sanjay and Salman had some differences and later on decided to come together for “Inshallah.”

But now that has also been shelved. So the chances of having Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan sharing leading roles in a movie are very low. Although both these superstars have appeared in a cameo in “Zero” and “Tubelight” a movie like “Karan Arjun” may not happen again. It has been more than two decades since the two Khans have acted as lead actors in a movie together.

With “Dabangg 3” failing to make the right impact and Shah Rukh Khan almost taking a sabbatical after series of flops, both Salman and Shah Rukh’s ailing careers may get a boost with such a project.
