As the date of KGF: Chapter 2 is inching closer, the anticipation levels are rising among the fans. The stars and the public know the amount of hard work the star cast of KGF has put into the movie. It is a good time to revisit the time Yash revealed that they also faced difficulties that were risky to their lives as well.

In a throwback BTS video by SJ Entertainment, Yash recalled the difficulties he and his teammates faced while choosing a location and shooting in a minefield. The team had a tough time going around looking for a shooting location and building a mine set. They later zeroed in on a gold mine in Kolar. However, the location was risky because of the processed sand. The location also had Cyanide around the place which is risky for humans.

The Rocking star said, “A lot of people recommended not to shoot there. They said it is very risky because of the processed sand. Extraction could have happened and extraction happens with cyanide. Cyanide, of course, is not active but still, it can have its side effects but the whole geography of that place was very unique.”

The actor also recalled shooting in the extreme heat of Kolar as a massive challenge and since they had to be barefoot they could shoot for a maximum of two minutes and run. “We used to pour water on the sand as we had to do it barefoot and our feet would burn. Two minutes is the max we could take one shot. After that, we used to run,” he remembered.

KGF: Chapter 2 is also shot in the location to maintain the continuity of the movie as it picks up from where the first chapter ended.

Yash’s KGF: Chapter 1 was the costliest Kannada film and KGF: Chapter 2 has already broken its record with a bigger budget.
